Last Art on Deck Placed Winner of Summerside Feature
Summerside, PE – Last Art on Deck, with Jason Hughes in the bike, was placed first in the afternoon feature race at Red Shores Summerside. The judges ruled winner Blue Meadow Willie interfered with Roccos Cavallo on their way to the opening quarter so he was placed 7th. The time of the mile was 1:58.1. The horse is owned by Ian Drake of Vernon Bridge.
With the placing, BJ Cruiser moved up to second place while Rich Raider gets third place money. The 5-8-4 triactor was not sold so the pay-out came with 5-8-all and paid $66.50.
Driver Terry Gallant was thrown to the track in race 2 after his horse Harmonic T fell prior to the start. Gallant was shaken up but resumed his driving duties later in the day.
Mike Stevenson, Marc Campbell and Walter Cheverie all recorded driving doubles on the card.
