Summerside, PE – The field is set for the $1,800 Top Class Pace Wednesday at Red Shores Summerside. Post time is 7pm for the 12 dash card which is carried to a world-wide audience at www.redshores.ca

 Matt Trapper and driver Brian Andrew has drawn the rail in the eight horse line-up with Sparky Bayama (Mike Stevenson) and Windemere Exprese (John Holmes) squaring off in the main event.

 Both horses have been red hot lately with impressive trips in the 1:57 range and both will have to deal with outside posts Wednesday night. The trip will be key from there.

 Race analyst Jared Stretch has tipped his hand to Windemere Express. “He’s got an impressive resume and has won 40 percent of his races this season,” said Stretch. “When you consider who he was racing when he didn’t win it proves the type of horse he is.” Stretch’s numbers are 7-1-6. His top picks are in the Summerside race program and at www.redshores.ca

 The line-up also includes OK Chivas, Beechwood Tiger, Four Brass Starz, Ready Cash and Bet the House trained by Blaine McKenna and driven by Jason Hughes.

 Hughes is coming off a hot night Saturday in Charlottetown when he recorded five victories on the night. The McKenna-Hughes team is riding a two-race win streak going into race 6 with Chagrin owned by Bill Andrew of Calgary, Alberta. But it won’t be easy with Woodmere Rose drawing the rail for Walter Cheverie and owners Lynn Woodland and Barry Folland of Cape Traverse.

 The $100,000 Dash for Cash and Drive for Charity promotions return to the card on Wednesday at Summerside at 7pm while the promotions hit the stage again Thursday night at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. Post time is 7pm.
