Summerside, PE - The Prince County Horsemen’s Club will be holding a special appreciation night for Wendell Shaw, a commissioner with the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission, on Sunday May 20, 2012 during opening night of the 2012 race season at Red Shores Summerside. Post time is 6:30pm.
The dinner, in honor of Shaw, who has served nine years as commissioner on the MPHRC will be held upstairs in Buffet Five Eleven West from 4pm-6pm. Tickets are $25 dollars and be purchased from Rocky Schurman at 902.724.2786 or Philip Doucette from the PCHC.
The PCHC will take the respected horseman trackside for a special presentation when historic oval opens for the season and officially launch the countdown to the Governor’s Plate.
The season will feature many highlights including a brand new event called the Red Cup Classic on June 10th presented by Lotto 649 in celebration of their 30th anniversary.
