Charlottetown, PE – Private Joke, owned by Wade Peconi, Windemere Farms and John Howatt of North Wiltshire, won the open mares feature event in 1:58.1 Thursday at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

 Marc Campbell, who drove three winners on the program, did the driving for trainer Earl Watts. JK Special, with Walter Cheverie, was second while Dreaming and Kenny Arsenault finished third.

 The trot class went to Whats It All About for driver Danny MacDonald in 2:03.1. The trotter is owned by William Andrew, Calgary, Alberta and Brian Andrew, Milton, PE. Diamond Mine was second by a head while Scarlet Patti was third.

 Racing returns on Saturday at 6pm in Charlottetown. Red Shores Summerside presents a Sunday afternoon card at 1pm.
