Aled Hanover and Caliban Hanover look to Double Up at CDP; Stakes action highlights Canada Day program in Summerside.

Charlottetown, PE – A 12 dash card of harness racing is set to go for Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. First race post time is 6:00 p.m.

Newcomer Aled Hanover headlines the race 11 feature. The five year old son of Western Hanover is coming off an impressive 1:55:4 win in his last start. He's owned by Ronald Hall, of Wallace, Nova Scotia and trained by Dale Sobey.

Nine pacers will take to the track in race number 11 and Aled Hanover has drawn post position eight for driver Alex Sobey. The talented duo are looking for back to back wins but will face some tough customers including JK Special who has landed on the rail for regular pilot Walter Cheverie.

JK Special has 4 wins and 10 top three finishes from 11 starts for owner, trainer Joe Smallwood of Stratford.

This competitive field also includes BJ Cruiser (pp2) General Luckypercy (pp3) Blue Star Outlaw (pp4) Outlawpositivcharg (pp5) Windemere Express (pp6) Rambaranonbroadway (pp7) and Eagle Luck (pp9)

The Open Trotters will line up in race number three and Caliban Hanover will be looking for a return visit to the winners circle.

The seven year old son of Andover Hall gave veteran driver Ron Gass career win 1,300 last week. It was a special victory for Gass who celebrated the accomplishment with good friend and owner Wendell MacDonald of Cornwall.

If Caliban Hanover wants his picture taken again he'll have to deny a strong group that includes Dumore Alpha, Napanee Seelster, Warrawee Jade, Julaire, Latorraca, Saulsbrook Balance, Flashy Image and Diamond Mine.
