All Turain Captures Red Shores Feature
Charlottetown, PE – All Turain, under the command of Marc Campbell, tracked down pace setter Carnivore and driver John Holmes to win the Saturday night pre-ferred pace in a sparkling 1:55 flat at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The win was a career best for the three-year-old gelding who finished a solid third in last week’s Governor’s Plate for owners Trevor Hicken of Montague and Lee Hicken, Charlottetown. Eagle Luck, who had the pocket ride for Jason Hughes, was able to find much needed racing room late to grab second while Aled Hanover finished strong to complete the triactor. The 1-2-6 triactor paid $153.10.
Campbell had three winners on the program which also included a victory in the evening trot class aboard The Iceman Aireth in 2:01.4. The Winsloe native is teaming up with Image Works in the Drive for Charity promotion where $25 from every win until October 28th goes to their charity of choice the Prince County Hospital.
In other action, Solid Performance and driver Earl Smith won the MacPhee Memorial in 2:00.3 while Western Handover, with Kenny Murphy in the bike, captured the MacPhail Reunion Pace. Smith and Walter Cheverie had driving doubles on the 12 race program. The live wager was $28, 420.
Racing returns Wednesday at Red Shores Summerside featuring the $100,000 Dash for Cash promotion. Post time is 7pm.
