Two-Year-Old Colts Impressive in Inverness

The Atlantic Sires Stakes two-year-old pacing colts put on an impressive show at Inverness Raceway on Sunday afternoon.

 Scamp Finesse, with owner-driver Clare MacDonald in the bike,  captured the first of three ‘A’ division events in a time of 1:59.2.  The two-year-old colt is also owned Morah Kerr of Greenfield, NS, and Phonsie MacEachern of Port Hood, NS.  Coming home second was Accelerated Pace and driver Mike Stevenson and third was River Paradise and Marc Campbell.

 The second $7320 ‘A’ division on the afternoon race card went to Paraprosdokian and driver Marc Campbell in a time of 2:00.4 for owner Buntainwood Farm of Brackley Beach, PE.  Second place went to Saulsbrook Astrobo and driver Cyril MacDonald and third was Woodmere Comical and Mike Stevenson.

 T M Valley Storm and Redmond Doucet Jr. won the final ‘A’ division in 1:58.4 for owners Harry Simmonds of Charlottetown, PE, Glen Murray of Stratford, PE, and Graham Robinson and Hal Beven both of Charlottetown, PE.  Finishing second and third were The Rev and driver Danny Romo and Forever Paradise and Marc Campbell.

 Mr Monday and driver Clare MacDonald captured the lone ‘B’ division for Riley Farms and Earith Riley of Kensington, PE.
