Bet The House Wins Summerside Feature in the Rain
Summerside, PE – Bet The House had to wait for the passing lane in order to shake loose from a pocket trip to win the Sunday afternoon feature at Red Shores Summerside. Corey MacPherson got the catch drive call to handle the six-year-old son of Betters Delight from trainer and co-owner Blaine McKenna of Elmsdale and Gary Arsenault of Miscouche. The time of the mile was 2:01.3 over an off track.
McKenna had two training wins on the program while MacPherson, who drives for Campbell’s Concrete in the Drive for Charity promotion, had a driving double.
War Cry Ranger, in line to Brian Andrew, touched down the lead past the opening quarter in 29.3 and led the field past the half in 59.3 and three-quarters in 1:31 flat, faded to second while Blue Meadow Willie used his fast finishing kick to grab third.
Brodie MacPhee also recorded a driving double on the program.
