Proven Lover Back in Action at Red Shores Summerside; Post time is 7pm
Summerside, PE – Proven Lover, owned by Casey Gavin of Tignish, has been entered into the feature event Wednesday night at Red Shores Summerside. Post time is 7pm.
The former Governor’s Plate and Gold Cup & Saucer starter is returning to the track and makes his first race since January 19th at Flamboro. Terry Gallant has taken over the training and driving duties. The son of Real Desire is coming off two qualifiers and meets a tough field in race 11.
Bet the House has been established as the morning line favorite at 5-2 for Jason Hughes from post 4. The Blaine McKenna trainee is 12 for 19 this season which includes seven victories. He’ll take on War Cry Ranger, with Brian Andrew in the bike, along with Life Savior off the rail for Marc Campbell. The field also includes McMaverick (Keith Campbell) and Lisfinny, who competed in the Meridian Farms Island Pacing Championship recently.
The back-up class has a great looking line-up with Milliondollarfeeln landing on the pylons for Corey MacPherson. MacPherson is teaming up with Campbell’s Concrete to raise money for the cancer unit at the QEH in the Drive for Charity promotion. The fundraiser is in the final stages which wraps on October 28th.
Flag of Honor (pp2), Roccos Cavallo (pp3), Ultimate Success (pp4), Sparky Bayama (pp5), Beechwood Tiger (pp6) and Elm Grove Future (pp7) complete the field.
