Bradley Notches Driving Triple; Blue Star Outlaw Delivers
Charlottetown, PE – Mark Bradley enjoyed a big day at the office recording a driving triple during the 13 dash harness racing program Saturday at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. Kuri White, Mike McGuigan, Corey MacPherson and Jason Hughes had driving doubles.
Bradley had a pair of deuces in races 6 and 7 then rolled off his winning streak in race 8 aboard Panacotta for owner Shane Baglole and trainer Blaine Baglole of Cornwall. Bradley came right back with McDaisy Cutter for owners Paul Doyle, Charlottetown and Courtney MacLean of Fairview. Stimulus Bill, owned by Ernest & Darren Smith of Cornwall, made it three in a row.
In other action, the owner-driver - trainer team of Emily MacPhee and Kuri White made two trips to the winner’s circle. White won with Rash B Havior in 2:03 and drove Strident Hanover to victory in 2:00.1.
Mike McGuigan scored with C J Bluefin in 2:02.1 and sent Diesel Seelster right off the engine to win in 2:01.4.
Corey MacPherson guided Delta Dental to an open length triumph in the afternoon trot class for owner Shelly Gass of Cornwall. MacPherson completed his double with the fastest mile of the program in 1:59 with My Old Friend John for the Captain Morgan Stable.
Blue Star Outlaw and Jason Hughes rallied to claim the afternoon feature in 1:59.1. The Donald MacRae owned pacer, who was sitting fourth at the top of the stretch, closed hard to edge out Big League and fraction setter Joseph Michael. The 1-7-6 triactor wasn’t sold. The triactor paid out on a 1-7-all combination returning $283.60. Hughes opened the day with a victory on Toxic Terror for John and Stephen Quinn of Charlottetown.
Racing returns Saturday January 19 at 1pm with the final card of the season on Saturday January 26th.
